Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of others. - Philippians 2:3-4

All are welcome! We meet the 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7:00pm at King of kings. If you have outreach ministry ideas, questions, or would like to join please contact us at: koklcgwoh@gmail.com

Upcoming GWOH Service Opportunities

  • Thanks to the congregation’s ongoing support of our mission, the God’s Work Our Hands committee is purchasing new towels and bedding for the women and children served by MCREST .

On behalf of King of kings, we will deliver 50 bath towels and wash cloths and 50 sets of twin bedding to the Macomb County nonprofit.

Located in Mt. Clemens, MCREST provides men, women, and children experiencing homelessness with a safe place to stay and the personalized support needed to rebuild their lives.

  • King of kings members are invited to a family-friendly service event benefiting our neighbors in need from 1 - 4pm Saturday, July 25 at Forgotten Harvest.

Volunteers will pack emergency food boxes and re-pack or sort fresh nutritious food. Children must be at least 10 years of age. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Sign up will be available in the Kok lobby July 5 - 19.

Forgotten Harvest delivers 144,000 pounds of surplus food per day to local charities five days a week, providing families in need with fresh and nutritious food free of charge.

Details to come closer to the service date.

  • The fourth Saturday of each month - between 9 - 11am - Kok provides a meal and fellowship to homeless individuals who gather at Grace Episcopal Church in Mt. Clemens for a hot shower through the Wave Project.
