GROUPS AND
OTHER MINISTRIES
What’s a Small Group?
A small group is a gathering of 4-12 people who
come together to grow spiritually and relationally. In a small
group,
people experience the love of God as they care for one another, help
each other on their faith journey, pray for each other and are
transformed by God’s amazing power. As small groups experience love
and power, they extend this love to others.

How Do I Join a Small Group?
Here at King of kings, we don’t assign or force
you into a certain small group. You can inquire about the small groups
simply by contacting any of the small group leaders of groups that
interest you and set a time to meet with them informally (perhaps
before or after a service) to hear more about their group. Feel free
to contact several leaders to see which group would be well suited to
your current life situation.

What’s the Biblical Basis for Small Groups?
Acts 2:42-47 provides the basis for Small Groups at
King of kings: "They
devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship,
to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe,
and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. All
the believers were together and had everything in common. Selling
their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. Every
day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke
bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts,
praising God and enjoying the favor of all people. And the Lord added
to their number daily those who were being saved."
Anything Else I Should Know?
One of the most
important things to know is that small groups form the basis for
pastoral care at King of kings. This means your small group serves as
your primary care giving unit of the church. Your small group will
handle most of your care, such as celebrating your accomplishments,
visiting you in the hospital, shepherding you in your walk with God,
and answering your questions about the church.
