What is Simply Giving?
Simply Giving is a free, automated giving program that automatically
withdraws funds from your bank account and provides your financial gifts
directly to King of kings. It eliminates the need for envelopes and writing
checks, and it provides you with a safe, worry-free way to stay on track with
your gift commitment to King of kings.
Why should I enroll in Simply Giving?
First, it makes your life easier! No more searching for your envelopes. No
more looking for your checkbook or scribbling checks on your way out the door.
Or even worse, forgetting your envelope at home or in the car.
Second, it allows you to be consistent with your gift commitment. If you
recently submitted a yearly commitment to King of kings, Simply Giving
automatically keeps you on track. You never have to worry about falling behind,
or the dreaded “catch up” after being gone for a week or two. It’s also
great in the summer months when lots of us go on vacation. Plus, if you are out
of town or the weather is bad, it’s taken care of for you.
How does Simply Giving help King of kings?
Consistent giving allows King of kings to effectively fulfill our mission and
vision here in our church, in our community and around the world. Just like your
budgets at home or at work, King of kings plans ministries for the year based on
gift commitments. If these commitments aren’t met, something has to give.
Simply Giving allows members to stay on track with their commitments, and it
keeps our ministries going strong.
Who manages the Simply Giving program?
Simply Giving is managed by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans—a combined
company of the Aid Association for Lutherans (AAL) and Lutheran Brotherhood.
Thrivent Financial makes absolutely NO money from this service. Simply Giving is
offered as part of their corporate mission to help Lutheran congregations. Your
personal information is 100% secure, and your information is NEVER, EVER given
to anyone.
How does it work?
Simply Giving is an electronic funds transfer (EFT) that automatically draws
funds from your checking or savings account. The funds are transferred to King
of kings the same day and there are absolutely no fees for you or the church.
Simply Giving uses the same technology people use everyday in Michigan for
automatic bill paying through their utility companies, mortgage companies,
banks, and credit cards. Plus, the withdrawal will be noted on your regular bank
statement for easy recording and tracking.
How do I enroll?
All it takes is one simple enrollment form. You can completely customize it
to fit your needs and your giving plan.
1. You select how frequently you give; weekly, semi-monthly or monthly.
2. You select which funds you would like your gifts to go to.
3. You select the amount.
Just include your account information and return the form to the church
office. If a life change arises, you can change or stop your Simply Giving
account by contacting the church office. And you can still give to special funds
or occasions via the traditional envelopes found in the Worship Center pews.
