POSITION SUMMARY:
The Ministry Associate for Confirmation exists to support, develop and
expand the Confirmation Ministry at King of kings with primary
leadership for all confirmation age youth. The Associate will seek to
understand, support, and implement the values, mission, and vision of
King of kings; including a personal commitment to pursuing the Marks of
Discipleship. The Associate shall be a leader who develops other
leaders and reports directly to the Senior Pastor.
POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES
1. Maintains regular contact with youth and their parents.
2. Recruits parents and volunteers to assist in the organizing and
implementing of the Confirmation program.
3. Maintains strong relationships with all small group guides and key
volunteers with a special emphasis on listening and soliciting feedback.
4. Establishes and maintains a database of youth who have participated in
Confirmation events as well as potential participants.
5. Establishes and maintains the yearly Confirmation schedule, balancing
aspects of learning, fellowship, and serving opportunities.
6. Selects and implements the Confirmation curriculum.
7. Maintains and monitors the Confirmation budget.
8. Attends, and leads when appropriate, all Confirmation events.
9. Ensures all necessary supplies for the Confirmation program are on hand
and provided for the guides and youth.
10. Plans or leads youth fundraising efforts.
